Holland is a country that is universally famous for its unbelievably flat terrain, windmills and tulips at every turn, traditional images of canals. However, it is the new face of Holland, that of a modern, efficient nation that is gradually emerging as a leader of Europe that is an absolute must see for the traveler headed to Europe. To the curious traveler, Holland presents apparently unlimited opportunities to explore the culture and to revel in the magnificent beauty of the country in the form of rolling landscapes and perfect backdrops. From the busy pace of life in the streets of Amsterdam to the stunning medieval towns like Utrecht and Delft, Holland, to use a dreadful cliché, is a place that offers something for everyone. So, why rent a Dutch villa, rather than do the more usual thing, and stay in a hotel The answer is that, quite simply, a villa generally has more to offer than the average tourist hotel. I will usually come fully equipped with a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and sometimes even balconies. Higher end villas may even boast exquisite lawns, swimming pools and maybe even a squash or tennis court Because there is a fully equipped kitchen available, you are able to save quite a bit of money by cooking instead of eating out every night. Of course, eating out is part of any holiday, especially for the person who usually does the cooking, but staying n a villa gives you the choice, a choice which no hotel offers. This also offers you the opportunity, or perhaps the justification, for a visit to the local markets which is often a colourful and exciting experience when visiting a foreign country like Holland. Furthermore, villas are usually rented in one week blocks so you can relax without the worries and hassles that you might associate with tourist hotel rooms. Unpack your bags, spread yourself out and start feeling and give yourself the chance to truly soak in the experiences of a wonderful cultural journey Perhaps villas can work out a little more expensive than staying in hotels, but that would tend to be most true in the holiday seasons, as you might expect. Time it right and go in the off season, and they can also be quite a bit cheaper. Don't forget to calculate in the money you will save by not having to eat out as much and in a place like Holland the savings can be quite considerable. As for the location, then it is not likely to get much better than Holland. Take Amsterdam as an example. Some visitors quite rightly consider Amsterdam to be one of the most visually impressive capitals in the world. It is also a place where you can explore and experience centuries of history on a canal boat, or stroll around any of the huge selection of excellent museums and galleries, all the while enjoying the breathtaking sunsets over the city. The Netherlands has far more than just its capital though, with many more impressive cities, all steeped in history and culture, such The Hague and Rotterdam. Simply unpack your bags, take a long, relaxing shower, and then go explore. Go ahead, take the plunge and give a villa a try at your next vacation destination. I can promise that you will enjoy every minute, and the additional freedom offered by a villa is simply the icing on the holiday cake! A Short Snippet Continues Here....
